Ta’i Chi

Tuesday 1.30pm

Ta’i Chi is a gentle Chinese martial art. It emphasises complete relaxation and is characterised by soft, slow flowing gentle repetitive exercises called forms.  It has often been called ‘meditation in motion’ using movement, meditation and breathing to train the muscles and nerves and improve health and well being.

Classes are open and you may attend as you wish.

 

Benefits

 It improves posture, balance, muscle mass and tone, flexibility, stamina and strength. It reduces stress by lowering the heart rate and blood pressure, and is especially suited for older adults or for those not physically strong or healthy.
