What is reflexology?

Reflexology is based on the belief that specific areas of the foot are connected to the body’s internal organ system. Massage or pressure is applied to these points achieving a balance in the flow of vital energy throughout the body, the aim being to relieve such symptoms as pain, constipation and sickness.

The reflexologist will ask questions about your general health and will then examine your feet. Using oil, gentle pressure or massage is applied to pressure points on the feet. The therapy can last from 30 minutes to one hour. We generally seek permission from your treating doctor before commencing reflexology.
