Menopause Workshop

The menopause, or change of life, happens because the ovaries have stopped producing the sex hormones oestrogen and progesterone. Some cancer treatments including chemotherapy and hormonal therapy, can affect the function of the ovaries or level of hormones in the body, and as a result you may begin your menopause earlier than expected.

The aim of the Menopause Workshop is to provide you with information, practical help, and advice to help you understand and manage menopausal symptoms after your cancer treatment ends.

The workshop takes a holistic approach to the management of symptoms and incorporates information on diet, exercise, and complementary therapies as well as looking at the medical management of the menopause.
